What is CTET 2021 and how can you apply for the CTET examination:

CTET stands for Central Teachers Eligibility Test and it is a national level entrance examination to shortlist candidates for the post of teachers. There are countless government and private primary schools that ask to qualify CTET to get hired. CBSE itself conducts the CTET examination on various centers in 135 cities across India two times a year. Nearly 30 lakh students apply for the CTET examination every year. This examination is conducted to select candidates for the post of teachers in primary school. Only a few thousand of the appeared candidates clear the examination and are selected as a teacher in primary or secondary school.

There will be 2 sections in the CTET examination. Paper first is for the candidates who want to become a teacher of primary classes. Whereas the paper 2nd is for the students who want to get hired as a teacher for secondary classes. There will be 30 questions from each subject and the complete examination will be of 150 minutes. Students who applied for paper first have to prepare for the below subjects: 

1. Child Development & Pedagogy 

2. Language I (compulsory) 

3. Language II (compulsory) 

4. Mathematics 

5. Environmental Studies 

Students who have applied for Paper 2nd have to prepare for the below subjects: 

1. Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory) 

2. Language I (compulsory) 

3. Language II (compulsory) 

4. Mathematics & Science (for Mathematics and Science teacher) 

5. Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher)

1. Students should have cleared their 12th class with any stream except arts to apply for this examination. 

2. You should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in 12th to apply for CTET 2021.
